In a nutshell, I’m a born Helper.

My deep-seated, natural instinct to help others led me to initially study naturopathy, a field that I really love. It seemed a perfect fit to work with people to improve their physical well-being. What’s not to love about that?

Somewhere along the way, I was seduced away by an even greater love, helping people enhance their emotional and psychological well-being. Thus, I qualified as a counsellor in 2014.

For me, it is an enormous privilege to help and support someone as they work to shed mindsets that keep them stuck and to witness the transformative blossoming that follows. Few things are more gratifying.

There’s something else I’m passionate about – the “dignity of a simple life.” When I read those words a long time ago, they struck a chord so deep within me that attaining a simple life became a personal mission and lifelong pursuit.

It took a while to get there. Accumulating stuff is almost second nature to people and I’m no exception. But each time my husband and I moved (and there were a lot of moves) we culled zealously.

Then, in 2015 we chose to part with pretty much everything we owned to move from Australia to Asia. Taking our uncluttered lifestyle to that level was daunting, to say the least. But it was also incredibly exhilarating. I had never felt so utterly free as I did then.

I can say without hesitation that that year of living a streamlined, uncomplicated, and focused life in Asia was one of the happiest and richest periods of our lives. I’m deeply convinced that a simple life is an abundant life. A life that’s filled with experiences rather than things is truly satisfying and freeing.

With that background, it seemed only natural that my next step would be to combine my two great passions – living a simple life and helping others – and voila! Blue Acacia Coaching was born.

So now I help women who are overwhelmed with crammed homes and calendars to clear their clutter and create a life they’ll love.

Do you want help to find more time, space, and freedom for what you love? I invite you to come and find out if you and I are a good fit to help you get there.

The dignity of a simple life

Sharon is a great listener and definitely a natural when it comes to this line of work. She is a genuine, upfront person with good values that I feel very comfortable with and I’m very grateful to have found someone so trustworthy. With her ability to work with people & bring out the best, she really is someone I would recommend.

Sharon has helped me get back my quality of life. At a time when I had hit rock bottom, Sharon brought a wealth of resources and practical tools to help me move forward. With Sharon's supportive coaching style I have been able to make and sustain changes in my life that contribute to my overall wellness. I highly recommend this program.

About Blue Acacia Coaching

Why the name Blue Acacia Coaching? There are several connections to me personally.

The blue acacia, also known as the blue bush wattle, is a shrub/tree native to Australia. That’s one connection – I’m Australian too.

The second connection is the blue acacia’s ability to thrive in a wide range of conditions. Its resilience in the face of challenging environments embodies my aim as a coach – to help women develop resilience and thrive despite the challenges they face.

And thirdly, the blue acacia produces masses of fragrant yellow ball flowers from late winter. I was married at that time of the year and those vibrant golden blooms form a gorgeous backdrop to my wedding photos.

So there you have the reasons why I chose the name Blue Acacia Coaching – it is inspired by the beautiful Australian bush known for its resilience that flowers at a special time of the year for me.
